The children form a circle and one child, (the monkey) goes to the middle and makes up a dance or movement for everyone else to imitate, then takes a bow and moves to the outside. All the children get a chance to be the monkey separately. At the end of the song all the children step in the middle to do all the new movements initiated by all the monkeys.
